PaddlePal is built so you can score pickleball matches and share results with friends. We collect the minimum needed to make that work, we don't run ads, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

What stays on your device

Local scoring & history. Matches you score, your local roster and player stats are stored on your iPhone. They only reach our servers if you link accounts with a friend and play together.
Location. Used only to show pickleball courts near you, only while using the app. We never store or transmit your location to our servers.
Health data. With your permission, the Apple Watch app records heart rate and calories during matches and saves workouts to Apple Health. This data stays in Apple Health on your devices — we never receive, store or share it.

Purchases

PaddlePal Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Who we share data with

Nobody, except the service providers required to run the app:

Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data hosted in the EU, London region).
Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and purchases.

We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use third-party analytics or tracking.

What other users can see

Your username, display name, city, skill level and win/loss record are visible to other PaddlePal users (search and leaderboard). Match details sync only between you and players you've explicitly linked with — and you confirm or reject every result logged for you.

Data retention & deletion

Your account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) — this permanently removes your profile, synced matches, invites, posts and device tokens. You can also email us and we'll delete it within 30 days.

Children

PaddlePal is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Email us and we'll help.

Changes

If this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and the date above.
